Ao longo dos vários anos e por achar estas plantas epífitas engraçadas, tenho vindo a comprar alguns exemplares. São já comuns em alguns centros de jardinagem e sempre que vejo algumas diferente, trago-as para o meu jardim e espalho-as pela estufa, penduradas em ramos, em ganchos. Por todo o lado.
Entretanto algumas plantas vão crescendo e este ano, desde Junho que tenho tido algumas destas plantas da família das Bromeliaceas, em flor.
Um dos mais recentes exemplos é esta Tilandsia (que talvez seja a T. brachycaulos) que começou por ficar avermelhada (o chamado ‘blush’) e que agora está cheia de pequenas flores azul-arroxeadas com os estames amarelos.
Está pendurada numa placa de cortiça na estufa quente e apanha algum sol filtrado.
Está um espanto!!
For the past few years the Tilandsias became more common in our garden centers. Normally when I find a different species I buy it and put it somewhere in my garden. Most of the times hanging in a piece of bark or just in a hook. I have quite a few now.
This year it seems that the plants are very mature and started to bloom.
One of the blooming Tilandsias is this supposed T. brachycaulos. It started to become red (the so called ‘blush’) and now it has a few purple-blueish flowers in the center with yellow stems.
This one is kept in the temperate greenhouse in a piece of bark and it gets some filtered sunlight. It looks amazing!!
